This morning after feeding Sophia her now four teaspoons of rice cereal mixed with two ounces of pumped milk plus a little more milk to wash it down with (she’s a little piggy), I put her to play in her not-a-walker while I put some things away from our trip to Alaska. She played nice for a short while but then became fussy. I didn’t want her to sleep yet because it hadn’t even been two hours since she woke up, so I put her in her johnny jump up (that’s not the brand) in the doorway of the master bathroom and let her go to town. If it were possible, she really would jump to town. At the end of my shower I realized that I wasn’t hearing her jump any more so I quietly peeked around the shower curtain to see her quietly sitting in her jumper with her arms on the tray and her head resting on her arms. It was unbelievably cute. I sat there for a second trying to figure out how to get past her without waking her so I could get the camera. Unfortunately, the lack of shower sounds woke her up. She smiled at me and started bouncing again. I don’t think she even knew she had been asleep. I got dressed, picked her up and put her to bed. I really need a camera in every room at all times!

My baby leaks from both ends…what's the hospital's policy on returns?
I remember those Johnny-jump-up thingys from when my oldest were little! They loved those – but liked the REAL walkers the BEST. Do they even make those anymore? I thought I remember hearing something some time ago about discontinuing manufacturing them because they were deemed “unsafe” because parents weren’t watching their babies and they were falling down stairs and stuff in them… anyways… And I remember the sounds of the water gently washing against the shower walls from when “I” was little! I DO! My favoritest sound in all the world until I was about 8 and my mom no longer thought it appropriate for me to sit in the bathroom facing the corner while she showered, just so I could listen to the sounds of the running water… ah!! It seems like just yesterday! “Please mom, I won’t look! I just want to hear the WATER RUNNING!” (I’m so strange sometimes!)
