Daily Infant Report

Monday, June 23rd, “Hi there! Sophia is very strong! She pulled up on the shelves today! She scooted a lot today. She wouldn’t stay at one place. She slowly would move to different places to reach objects.”

Yep, that’s my little Butt Scootin’ Baby. I’ve actually seen her do it a few times now. She stays in a sitting position with one leg kicking her off like she was on a skateboard and the other still in front of her. She has a left leg preference for pushing off.

Tuesday, June 24th, “Hi there! Sophia had a great day! She was very curious about *name of other child*’s hair. She was touching his curls and making little funny screams.

Wednesday, June 25th - Kurt picked up Sophia at 12:30. Kurtie went home sick. We were both sick the next day and I didn’t feel up to caring for the human petree dish so we sent her to daycare.

Thursday, June 26th, “Hi there! I can’t believe today is Sophia’s last day! It was a wonderful time getting to know her. She is a very sweet girly girl! Today all the time I put her to sleep she would stand up in the crib and smile to everyone.”

Yep, you read right. Sophia’s last day of daycare was Thursday. My last day of work was Wednesday. I’m now a stay at home mom.

Congratulations! My hubby stays home full time with our Chloe and I feel much better leaving her everyday with him instead of at daycare. I’ll miss the daily reports, maybe you can keep a log of your own, lol! Chloe never buttscooted but did crawl like a caterpillar at first. She can cruise a little now, climb the first two stairs (fall down those same two steps backwards), and crawl really fast. We’re doomed now. I really like your velcro idea and am giving it serious consideration lol.

Congratulations, Erica! I know this was a big decision and it weighed on you heavily (Jack in the Box?), but I really hope you’ll be happy with it.

Ack! I just realized… no baby squeezin’s this month? Have we outgrown that? Or were you just unwell and missed it? I think I might be disappointed. That worries me.

Susan - Thank you :) Though it wasn’t really a matter of feeling bad about leaving her at daycare since I wasn’t primary daycare drop off person (yes, it’s all about ME). I did it partly because I don’t like being sick all the time and partly because daycare ate nearly half my paycheck, and then there was the huge part about not liking my job anyway. :P

I loved the daily reports! As soon as I come up with some activities for us I’ll come up with some sort of daily one liner or something.

We may need to buy stock in Velcro! ;-)

smarmoofus - Yeah there are still some things I REALLY need to take care of before I relax about not having an income (I hate my ex A LOT right now - as in this very minute). Only $66 dollars in court filing fees to get a huge burden off my back helps - I just need to get that ball rolling. *hint hint*

Don’t worry I didn’t forget about the monthly sqeezin’s - it’s just tardy due to illness.

Ambajam - thank you! I just need to come up with some inexpensive outings and other things to do so I don’t go mad and start drooling right along side my almost-a-toddler. :-)

I’m so happy for you! I thought about you on Wednesday knowing it was your last day. I’m not a stay at home mom, but I am an at home during the day mom, so welcome to the club! Today, gorcery shopping.

I’m going to miss you, but I know you’ll be so much happier for it. As soon as I’m awake enough, we’ll hang out…or I could just come over and sleep on your couch. :)

Sarah, Thank you! Now we’ll have to hang out during the day from time to time. Just give us a few days. Sophia and I have yet ANOTHER cold. Blah!
