Heads or Tails Tuesday: Oven

A very good friend of mine is nine weeks pregnant with her first. Whether she remembers it or not she has told me several times that, she’s glad I went through it first. Apparently I’m her designated big sister (not that I mind the role), so here is where I get to tell her all the things I found useful during my pregnancy and she can choose to ignore me. It’s a win win situation really.

If you know anyone with their first baking in the oven send them on over. I’m going to be writing weekly posts about products and other tips I found useful during my pregnancy and Sophia’s newborn stage throughout my friend’s pregnancy.

If I knew then what I know now, I would have bought specific items, not the assorted crap I have. My top picks: Graco Loving Hug Swing (Chloe slept in it when she had bad reflux), Boppy Bouncy seat (same as above, but now she chills in it cuz it’s like a little chair), Boppy Changing Pad cover (worth the 20 bucks -it has a waterproof topping), Dr. Brown’s Bottles (thank you TRUS for letting me change them for new glass ones) and dirty socks and broken remotes. Yes, I’ve spent all this money on wonderful and exciting flashing noisy toys to stimulate and entertain her, and all my little darlin wants are dirty socks to wave around and remote controls. Fisher Price has nothing on her new toys :)

Very, very darned clever HoT entry..

But I honestly can say I’d be of no help with this…last time I was preggie was 36 years ago.

“Ointment” - in honor of this week’s Heads or Tails … My all time favorite is “A&D” - I swear that stuff is magic … it cures everything from diaper rash to mosquito bites … and stuff you can’t identify (seriously).

My son is 5 years old and I still use it for cuts, scrapes, burns, bug bites, you name it … we used to add a layer of A&D after using a (warm wipe … thanks to the awesome invention of the baby wipe warmer - another priceless item) and prior to the diaper … he rarely had diaper rash thanks to the layer of moisture protection. Sure, there are other products out there but this one’s a must have for the cabinet, it’s definitely multifunctional!

    All the best!
