I removed the wastebasket, the toilet paper holder, and the plunger. I placed a blanket with toys on the floor, and I ensured there was nothing she could get into. Well, she showed me. Mid-shower I peered from around the curtain to see that she had the cap to the toilet bolt in her mouth.

eek that is scary. I can remember the first time my son choked on a hotdog. It was the scariest thing thus far I have had to endure and now he is seventeen lol.
Have a great weekend and enjoy tomorrow.

*puke*
I’ve been holding that in since my sneak preview earlier. I can only hold it so long, then I have to let it out. Because, mygawd, that’s gross. Gross!
*stern look at Sophia* You made me puke!

OMG! That is terrible! I hope she did not gag over that!
No matter how careful you are, they have a knack of finding the most unusual stuff from the worst places!
My sister’s daughter swallowed a naphthalene ball when she was eight months old & had to be hospitalized & stomach washed!

We used to take the kiddos in the shower WITH us, held in place by one of those “bath rings”. That, or put them in the crib for 5 minutes (unless of course, you don’t have one, or a play yard). Either way, you learn to take REALLY fast showers!

Oh that’s yummy! Justin sits in the exersaucer when I’m in the shower for now. I don’t know what I’ll do when he’s older. Gavin was so good I could trap him in the bathroom with me and it never dawned on him to eat something so unusual. Good luck with that!

Where’s Wordless Wednesday? How ’bout Talkative Thursday!?! As for Flash Fiction Friday, let me tell you what Chloe put in her mouth today…a grapehead (god I love that candy, but where did she find it?) which I spotted when she foamed purple down my leg, a piece of dog food, the water bill, a piece of the caning from a chair, fur, and who knows what else. It’s a losing battle I tell you.
Speaking of things in her mouth, we’ve tried two different sippy cups and she can suck but she can’t swallow (lets not go there) are you having any success?

Agi - I used to put her in a Johnny Jump Up, but she doesn’t like that at all anymore. Now that she can scoot around she wants to be free. I thought I had all the bases covered *sigh* Now I also move the cap to the top of the toilet tank so I’m covered until she learns to climb. hehe

Susan Anderson - *snort* ohmygod. I almost choked on chocolate milk. What a way to nearly die. I promise not to “go there” hahahaha
I had a hard time getting Sophia to take a bottle, so it was suggested to me at one of the “living with baby” classes to try a sippy cup. That worked, she took it when she was at home, but once she started daycare it was a no-go. At daycare they tried every bottle/nipple combo they had in their stash and so we switch to bottles. Our sippy cups were put in storage, somewhere…I’m still looking for them. I hid them too well. Damn it. All I have is her Foogo. She used to drink from it, but now won’t touch it. She knows what it is, she knows what it’s for, she just has a strong preference for boob.
Long story semi-shortened, the whole weaning thing is slow going over here. I haven’t a clue how to get a girl to swallow, sorry
