55 Flash Fiction Friday: Death by Poblano

“I’m not eating peppers anymore.”
“What’s wrong?”
“I have heartburn and my stomach hurts like hell.”
I flash my sad puppy face at him.
“It’s not your fault.”
“But I’m going to make Pozole tomorrow.”
He quickly switches gears, “I find it interesting you’re trying to kill me after telling you I’m getting a raise.”

Erica, are you of Mexican decent? Most Gringo’s do mot make tamales from scratch, or even know what Pazole is.

mona – Sophia looks thinner? She’s always been thin. She hasn’t ever been one of the chubby babies with rolls and now that she’s scooting and walking she is loosing the little bit of baby fat she had. She’s healthy as ever.

I like it when Karma does it’s job! ;-)

G-Man – Yep! My mom is/was Mexican. She’s been living here forever, but just recently became a US citizen.
