Born naturally shy, I feared adults. Embarrassed by my slow quiet responses she talked for me throughout my childhood and into my teens. Others urged her to stop, but she cut me off anytime I attempted independence. Fine on my own, but with her, even into my twenties looked to her to field simple questions.

I’ve been thinking about just writing out my whole story (not on the internet). I don’t know if it could make a book, but somehow I feel like having a ‘hard copy’ out there in the world would help me even if it just sits on my shelf.
Mothers do that to their kids… It may be anxiety on their part or overprotectiveness, but it sure does cripple the child…
I am quite shy as well…although no one would ever believe it…I have had to learn to deal….it is very painful to be so shy….
