It’s finally spring and they’ve all sprung. The buggers are everywhere. Don’t slip your hand in anywhere dark! I found this one on the return home from the park. It currently lives near the front porch. Had it been in the house I would have killed it. Anyone know what kind of spider this is?

ewww that is so freakin’ gross. did you really have to put a ginormous pic up like that? lol i’m not loving this 55. i hate arachnids lol
ciara – Yes, yes I had to. I was forced at gun point.
I’m not fond of arachnids either.
How do you feel about birds? You might like the Wordless Wednesday that I’ll be posting this week
Isn’t that called a huge ugly mother ***** spider?
JaniceNW – hhhmmm I’m not sure. I’m afraid to call it that for fear it may answer. LOL
I don’t care what kind it is……kill the booger!!! I hate spiders and snakes.
My ’55′ is posted. Scroll down on the Friday blog or use the link provided at the very top! Have a great weekend.
Hootin’ Anni – If it had been in the house the picture would have been of a squished spider for sure!
yuk, i hate spiders, i would not have been anywhere near that thing. you are my hero for being so close and still not killing it.
suzie Q. – I wasn’t actually that close. I just have an awesome camera.
I don’t mind spiders but that one is HUGE! Great 55.
My 55 is up.
Akelamalu´s last blog post..Friday 55 Flash Fiction # 73 The Artist
Akelamalu – I can’t stand spiders. I think it has to do with how fast such small creatures can move. They’re freaky to me. The spider I took a picture of wasn’t really *that* big. I zoomed up really close.
Erica…I do believe that you have a Callobius Olympus.
A nasty little arachnid, but it does indeed devour many many insects.
Excellent 55 my dear…
Thank You so much for playing this week.
Have a Great Week-End….Galen
G-Man – Thanks for the info! You really do know it all. And don’t you worry, I’m already thinking of Friday.
I would say that spider falls under the category of ‘ugly’. Not sure what sub species though.
WeaselMomma – hahahaha I’d have to agree! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.
Stopping by from Dad Blogs.
I would call it a dead spider.
Otter – If it makes it into the house it’ll surly die a slow painful death at the paws of my cat.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.
Killing spiders is bad luck. However, I would get Hen to deal with it and not tell me what he did, lol.
