55 Flash Fiction Friday: Nothing is Sacred

In a cupboard or in a drawer nothing is secure. Tossing items left and right everything is strewn about, out of place and all around the room. No matter the contents, nothing is sacred when the toddler tornado comes to town. After a nightstand dissection, I’m thankful she cannot yet ask, “Mom, what is this?”

The contents of our nightstand plus a pair of toddler sandals

I remember those days, long ago now. What they wanted to get into they got into.
That is one clever child and a clever 55.

Did you name……”this”? Sorry, I can’t resist. LOL

    Love this one.

My fantasy fiction is posted below my Friday’s Show n Tell [as always]. Come on over if you can find time, to read mine. There is a direct link to it at the top of my Friday Blog.

    Have a super weekend.

Hootin’ Anni – LMAO no, ‘this’ has no name, but if it did I guess it would be B.O.B. ;-)

Dragon children are much better behaved. The first thing we teach them is don’t eat people. Aren’t you glad they behave.

    Great 55

    Ours is posted.

What an analytical child, It almost seems like she has some engineering traits. Hmmm!

Gramma Claudia – oh you noticed that too? hahaha That video was taken on March 27th so she was only 18 months when she started opening the “child proof” locks!!!

Thank You so much for playing today,
I always enjoy seeing the beautiful Sophia..
    Takes after Mom!!
    Have a Great Week-End…..G

    Erica Reply:

G-Man – My use of “this” was meant for all the lubes, condoms, and other fun things in the nightstand. Hootin’ Anni’s “this” was for something not kept in the nightstand and therefore not pictured. :P Thanks G :) If you download QuickTime you’ll be able to see the movie clips.

I remember the days when I had to have eyes in the back of my head and be faster than the whirlwind I called my child! You describe it so well! :)

Oh, boy…yes, it’s a good thing she’s not old enough to ask yet–you still have time! It gets even worse when they can go through the cupboards & “borrow” your lotion, your hairbrush, your hair clips, etc and then when YOU go to use them they’re MIA!

that made me lmao esp when kurt says ‘what a bastard’ at the end. child proof locks don’t seem to hold them out too much do they? didn’t need em w my first kid cos he didn’t get kooky like that. then my 2nd came along and she was in every cabinet/drawer. 3rd i didn’t need them. wth is up that? lol

ciara – LOL that’s my Kurtie. ;-) I don’t care if the next kid gets into the cupboards as long as he or she either keeps everything in place or puts it back. That’s not too much to ask is it? LOL
