MommyWizdom – Nope just one. Thanks for the support and the ideas It’s just frustrating that she doesn’t talk especially when her ‘terrible twos’ started at eighteen months. I mean why did she have to be advanced in that tantrum arena and not speech?! LOL

O dear, this must be quite frustrating for you. We had a similar situation with my cousin. She did not speak for years and years and finally developed a language of her own which only her brother could understand and translate! Though it must seem stressful for you now, I can tell you my cousin did start talking, if it makes you feel in any way better! but good luck, it will happen, but I am sorry for your current frustrations.

Erica, is Sophia learning two languages? Kids who learn two languages speak later than kids who only learn one because they’re processing more information. And, as long as she’s signing and you know she understand you, it’s not as bad as it sounds.. (no pun intended). I’ve heard great things about speech therapy!

And about the white foods; my son is right there with Sophia. He won’t eat pasta of any shape or form and he won’t eat rice. Until recently he wouldn’t really eat meat either, now for some reason, he’ll eat hot dogs, sometimes… Just keep trying – eat stuff in front of her – she’ll come around, eventually. Have you tried those baby shakes? They make them in vanilla – they might be white… they have lots of vitamins in them too – I’m not sure of the taste tho – good luck – I know it’s tough.

I can’t comment on all of this because I don’t have any answers…
She’s obviously a smart child and normal in most ways but speaking. The older she gets, the more she’ll understand. You’ll be just fine….Missed you….G

my sister in law has a kid who didn’t speak very much even at 3. he would always kind of grunt and point. or go uhhhhh. he ended up talking just fine. granted the kid is a little whacked lol but that’s not attributed to that. hopefully a speech therapist can help.

Oh yeah, I have torture ideas for those parents/concerned citizens who suggest not giving the screaming toddler something until they ask for it. Yeah, like we haven’t tried that. Fuckers, LOL!

Preaching to the choir sister….preaching to the choir. However, Chloe just started exploding words and most of it is due to her visiting the daycare next door for 1 hour and a half three times a week. Mind you most is gibberish. Well, except fuck it, fuckers, sucks, and ass….these are clearly understood. Wonder where she learned those words?

WAIT! I propose a toddler swap. I’ll take your cranky pants for my cranky pants. Just be prepared for a toddler that just ran away from me, refused to give me back my coupons, waved the coupons at me, said “NO!” Laughed at me and ran laughing saying “FUCKERS!”.

Thanks for the update! Give me one more and I’ll share Danza stories Who’s the boss? Chloe and Sophia, apparantly, LOL.
