Lee’s farm for use as a graveyard to mostly Union soldiers after the Civil war. His intention was to make the house uninhabitable in case the Lee family ever tried to return.

“You really love her,” She said referring to my daughter. The inflection of surprise insinuated she either thought me incapable of love towards anyone or that she never felt that for me. I’ll never know. It’s clear we haven’t felt unspoiled love between us in some time, if ever.

May is here and Mother’s day is near. I saw it on the dining table this morning and raced to see what it said. It’s been a long time since either of us left the other an endearing note. I guess I’ll have to settle for less, “Time for flea medicine” is what I get.

It’s finally spring and they’ve all sprung. The buggers are everywhere. Don’t slip your hand in anywhere dark! I found this one on the return home from the park. It currently lives near the front porch. Had it been in the house I would have killed it. Anyone know what kind of spider this is?

King 5 news just reported about a boy who has such a severe allergy to peanuts that he is rushed to the hospital about once a month. It is so bad that merely breathing on him with peanut breath is enough to set off a reaction. His family would like to get a peanut sniffing dog for him but his father’s business has fallen on tough time and his mother only works part time, so they cannot cover the $12,000 for the dog.

It’s the evening and it’s just the two of us. We kiss and joke. We make comments about the day. Our clothes slide off and we cuddle under the covers. Kisses become passionate, and then from the other room we hear, “Da-DEE”. That little shit. Good thing she can’t climb out of the crib, yet.
